My name is María Eugenia, founder of D’Lu Cookie Company. I was born in Ecuador, the land of the four worlds, a paradise known for producing some of the finest cacao in the world. Through my training in chocolate and pastry arts, I discovered that this craft goes far beyond following recipes. It is a form of alchemy—an experience where the senses expand and time seems to disappear, as flavors, aromas, and emotions come together to create a holistic expression of pastry. I have always been passionate about traveling and exploring the flavors of the world, experiencing pastry as an art form. I arrived in St. Petersburg in 2016, where I had the opportunity to meet Chef Michael Ostrander and, a year later, Pastry Chef Haylee Shaddock. Under their guidance, I have been able to deepen and expand my knowledge in this fascinating and demanding field. My son has been my greatest source of strength and inspiration, encouraging me to continue growing and pursuing this journey even further.
